What we repair
Most window repairs come down to one thing: a pane that is broken, cracked or shattered and needs to come out. We remove what is left of the old glass safely, clean up the frame, fit the new pane and seal it in the way that frame was designed to hold it. Steel frames get fresh putty, aluminium frames get their rubber glazing seals refitted, and wooden frames get their beading put back neatly.
Sometimes the glass is fine and the window still misbehaves. A casement that will not stay open, a handle that spins without catching or a hinge that has seized can make a window just as useless as a broken pane. On aluminium windows we repair and replace friction stays, handles and hinges, so the window opens, closes and locks the way it should.
The glass we carry
Our vans carry two types of glass so that most repairs can be done in one visit. The first is 4mm float glass, the standard for most South African residential windows. The second is 6.38mm laminated shatterproof glass, the usual choice for large panes and most doors.
If your window needs something else, such as a patterned, wired or unusually thick pane, we source it fast. In the meantime we can cover the opening so your home is not left exposed overnight.

Glass rarely breaks at a convenient time, which is why we are open 7 days a week for emergency window repairs. Our mobile teams work across Gauteng, from Pretoria and Centurion through Johannesburg and Sandton to the East Rand, and the call-out costs you nothing.
One thing worth mentioning before we arrive: if burglar bars or a security gate stand in front of the broken pane, they may need to come off first. We can supply a welder or trellis specialist to remove them and put them back once the new glass is in, so you only have to arrange one visit.
How a window repair usually goes
Start by sending us two photos on WhatsApp or through the quote form: one close-up of the damage and one of the whole window. That tells us the frame type, the rough size and the glass involved, which is most of what we need for a quote. Once you are happy with the quote, we book a time, arrive with the right glass and replace the pane. If the glass has to be ordered, the temporary cover goes on first and we come back to finish the job.
Then you can go back to blaming whoever kicked the ball.
